Alcohol and drugs counselling and support.
What is it?
Counselling and support service for people who would like to talk about the concerns or impacts of their alcohol and drug use in a confidential, non-judgmental and queer-affirmative space.
This free service is known as QHealth.
We’re committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bi, transgender, gender diverse, intersex, queer and questioning (LGBTIQA+) communities. All QHealth counsellors are LGBTIQA+ identifying.
Who can access this service?
LGBTIQA+ people of all ages, couples (including all types of partnerships), or families living in the Merri-bek, Brimbank, Darebin, Hume, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Wyndham or Yarra areas.
Support may also be provided in the community, however this is limited to some areas. Get in touch to find out more.
No mental health care plan is needed.

Do I need a referral?
Yes. You do need a referral to access this program.
You can self-refer to our program or a health professional can make the referral on your behalf. Please use this referral form.

These sites are wheelchair accessible.

Sessions are driven by support needs linked to alcohol and drug use either directly or not directly. This may include support for relationship and family breakdown, experiences of discrimination and mental and/or physical health issues
This will be discussed with your counsellor and can range from weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Yes. Lift and ramps are available for disability access.
This service is funded by North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network under the Primary Health Networks Programme – an Australian Government Initiative.
