There were roars, giggles, and plenty of smiles at Melbourne Zoo yesterday as 150 kids swapped the dentist chair for the animal kingdom!
We were thrilled to bring free dental checks alongside Dental Health Services Victoria through the Smile Squad program. Kids explored the importance of good oral health through fun, interactive activities — all while hanging out with giraffes, lions, and butterflies.
Holstep Health is proud to provide free dental care to primary and secondary school students across Banyule, Merri-bek, and beyond through Smile Squad.
Many kids missed out on dental appointments during COVID-19, and we're now seeing more dental issues as a result. Smile Squad is helping to close that gap by bringing dental care straight to schools — making it easier than ever for kids to get the support they need.
It's a fantastic example of community health and government working together to make a difference, benefiting schools and families across the state.
All government primary and secondary schools are eligible for Smile Squad — they just need to sign up!
