We know that people's health needs change at different times. That's why we offer a range of related services to people at all stages of life, from child health to aged care.
The range of services offered by Merri Health includes:
- Adult health services, including speech-language pathology, nutrition, diabetes education, community nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, podiatry, education, and physical exercise groups.
- Physical exercise and education programs for adults.
- Children's health services, including audiology, occupational therapy, pediatrics, speech-language pathology, educational support and treatment for children with disabilities.
- Elder support, including caregiver support, community care, education and physical exercise groups, home support, speech-language pathology, nutrition, diabetes education, community nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, social groups, walking groups and home care packages.
- Adolescent health services, including alcohol and drug problem treatment, work with schools to support adolescence education for gay and gender-diverse populations, sexual health, and people with disabilities.
- Pediatric and adult dentistry.
- Provide caregivers with support such as respite, assessment, planning and information, peer support, education, service coordination, and health and wellbeing guidance.
- Family services, which provide counseling and family therapy for family members affected by alcohol and drug problems.
- Mental health support, including counselling, day programs, community care, and support for residents and staff in assisted dwellings.
- Health-promoting services.
- Sterile needles and syringes are available in Brunswick and Coburg.
We also have a lot of community support, such as:
- Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- School education support.
