Elder abuse is a term used to describe any act which causes harm to an older person and is carried out by someone they know and trust such as a family member, friend or carer. This abuse can be in the form of physical, social, financial, psychological, or sexual abuse and can include mistreatment and neglect.

Older people have the right to live safely free from harm, abuse and exploitation.

Come and join us, Moreland City Council and North West Aged Care Assessment Service to hear from Senior Rights Victoria and hear about what services that are available for older people.

No RSVP is needed, just come at 9.30am for morning tea and wear purple to show your support to stop elder abuse.
